This is a great recipe for a non-alcoholic Banana Smoothie that is easy to make and fabulous for summer afternoons. One of the best parts of this mocktail is that you probably have the ingredients right there in your kitchen. If you want to spike this drink add 1 ounce of banana liqueur.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 sliced bananas
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt

A Tom and Jerry is a classic winter cocktail and a must try for every explorer of the drink world. It’s a sweet, frothy warm drink that is flavored by dark rum and, usually, Cognac (other brandy can be used as well). It’s best with hot milk which makes the drink thicker than if hot water were used.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup or 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz Cognac or brandy
  • hot milk or hot water
  • grated nutmeg for garnish

This recipe for a Midnight Snowstorm is very similar to a Hot Peppermint Patty, using crème de menthe in place of the harsher peppermint schnapps. This substitution leaves the minty, chocolate flavor but does so in a very smooth, creamy way. Use white crème de menthe inside the drink and add green crème de menthe on top of the whipped cream for a little color.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz white crème de menthe
  • hot chocolate
  • 1/2 oz green crème de menthe
  • whipped cream
