The perfect eggnog recipe for parties. This recipe is the traditional way to make "nog" that requires patience and time but is well worth the effort.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup super fine sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups brandy
  • 1 cup milk
  • nutmeg (use for garnish also)

Simple syrup, or sugar syrup, is very easy to make and is used in many cocktails such as Jell-O Shots, Daiquiris and Hurricanes to add volume and sweetness. With this recipe you can make as small or as large a batch as you wish and store it in the refrigerator in a well sealed bottle indefinitely.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 parts sugar
  • 1 part water

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp Splenda
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • brandy or rum flavoring to taste
