Midori Green Ghoul

Green Ghoul

Photo Courtesy: © Midori Melon Liqueur The Green Ghoul, created through Mixologist Victoria D’Amato-Moran, is very green, real flavorful and even if it may look a little ghoulish the taste is anything but. This Halloween cocktail brings together three great liqueurs so you have the sweet melon of Midori, the herbal qualities of either Strega or Chartreuse and the spicy ginger of Canton. As far as the options given as being soda, I like the boldness of ginger beer here because it adds an extra snap. However, some don’t like that and for those ginger ale is a sufficient alternative - it fit depends on individual taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Midori Melon Liqueur
  • 1/2 sub-division Strega Liqueur or Yellow Chartreuse
  • 1/2 part Canton Ginger liqueur
  • Ginger Beer or Ginger Ale

Preparation:

  1. Add first 3 ingredients into a shaker glass, tack on ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain over ice in a collins glass.
  4. Line the within of a wine glass with strands of horrible licorice.
  5. Pour in contents of the collins glass and fill with ginger beer or ginger ale.
